Aboriginal Employment Consultant -Mt Druitt Location

Ability Options Employment, a growing and integral part of our Organisation within Ability Options, is currently seeking energetic, driven and enthusiastic persons to join our busy team in MT Druitt.

You will enjoy face to face marketing of services to prospective employers as much as the satisfaction of helping those who need help to find work. 

The key responsibilities for this position include:

• Understand the issues and barriers facing Aboriginal people in employment.
• You will build strong community and business networks.
• You will provide total case management to job seekers from initial meeting to their successful placement
• Identifying client needs and goals
• Provide job search training and support
• Matching job seekers to potential employers and marketing to employers

The key skills required for this role include:

• Demonstrated ability to train and support clients on the Worksite,relate to barriers facing Aboriginal people
• Experience in selling new ideas/concept /benefits to employers to achieve employment placements for your clients
• A natural flair for dealing with people from all walks of life
• Demonstrated experience in successfully working in outcome focussed environments
• Good presentation including verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisation
• Sound computer skills for database maintenance
• Current Motor Vehicle drivers licence required
• Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment desirable
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
